The Museumfabriek is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 11:00 to 17:00.
Located just a short walk from Rijksmuseum Twenthe and connected by the Museumlaan, you’ll find De Museumfabriek. Together, we form one organisation – two museums that complement each other in vision, programming and narrative. While Rijksmuseum Twenthe focuses on visual art, De Museumfabriek reveals how nature, technology and heritage come together in the story of Twente.
De Museumfabriek is the museum of and about Twente. Here, you’ll explore the landscape, innovations and history that shape the region. From wool to watermills, from stars to contemporary stories – De Museumfabriek takes an open-minded look at the past, present and future.
That shared perspective makes us stronger. Together, we are building a cultural world driven by curiosity – for visitors of all ages. Our collaboration is reflected in exhibitions, public programmes and education, as well as behind the scenes.
We share more than a mission – we also share a strong support base. A single business club and one circle of friends support both museums with heart and soul. Together, we bring art, science and Twente to life.
