This immersive approach offers a unique glimpse into the world of the late Middle Ages.
Samenstellers van de tentoonstelling
De tentoonstelling is samengesteld door conservator Nelleke de Vries en gastcurator Prof. Dr. Kathryn M. Rudy (Bishop Wardlaw Professor, School of ArtHistory, University of St Andrews).
Kathryn Rudy (Kate) behaalde haar doctoraat in de kunstgeschiedenis aan Columbia University en haar academische titel in Middeleeuwse Studies aan de University of Toronto. Voordat ze naar St. Andrews kwam, bekleedde ze onderzoeks-, onderwijs- en curatorsfuncties in de Verenigde Staten, het Verenigd Koninkrijk, Canada, Nederland en België. Haar onderzoek richt zich op de receptie en oorspronkelijke functie van manuscripten. Ze was een pionier in het gebruik van de densitometer om het vuil te meten dat oorspronkelijke lezers in hun boeken achterlieten. Momenteel ontwikkelt ze methoden om de gebruikersreactie op laatmiddeleeuwse manuscripten te volgen en te meten.
