RMT Young is a unique network for young professionals aged 20 to 40.

What does a Young RMT membership include?
As a Young RMT member, you become part of an inspiring community of young art enthusiasts and gain access to a wide range of unique experiences, both inside and outside the museum. Your membership includes:
- Free year-round access to both Rijksmuseum Twenthe and De Museumfabriek, including entry to all five RMTnext evenings.
- Exclusive member activities, such as studio visits to emerging artists, behind-the-scenes tours of the museum depot, group trips to art fairs and events, and an introduction to art collecting through the Young Collectors Circle. An overview of activities can be found in the annual programme.
- A summer garden party in the charming courtyard of Rijksmuseum Twenthe.
- Invitations to exhibition openings, giving you early access to the latest shows.
- 10% discount in the museum shop and café upon presentation of your membership card (excluding books).
About Young RMT
One of the key priorities of Rijksmuseum Twenthe is to make art and culture more accessible to younger audiences. To support this ambition, the museum hosts public evening events under the name RMTnext and launched Young RMT in 2024.
With Young RMT, the museum focuses on young professionals aged 20–40 who are interested in art and culture and eager to expand their network. By organising activities together with our members and local (cultural) partners, we aim to build a bridge between the museum and the younger community in Twente.
The annual contributions of our members help strengthen the position of art and culture in society. Part of the membership fee is used to support emerging artists through the acquisition of artworks. In this way, Young RMT members actively contribute to the careers of young artists and to the collection of the museum.
Can I join at any time?
Yes, you can! Your membership starts immediately upon purchase. From that moment on, you’ll enjoy a full year of benefits: access to events, exclusive activities, and the world of art that a Young RMT membership has to offer.
Will my membership be renewed automatically?
No, you will receive a reminder at the end of your membership year, giving you the option to renew.
Is the membership personal?
Yes, the membership is personal when purchased individually. Different terms and options apply for memberships taken out by companies. Please feel free to contact us for more information.
Who is Young RMT for?
Young RMT is for young art enthusiasts (guideline: 18–35 years old) who want to experience art and culture in an active, curious, and social way.
Can I bring someone to an RMTnext evening or member event?
Member activities are exclusive to Young RMT members. Occasionally, it may be possible to bring a guest – this will always be communicated in advance.
